                           RESOLUTION NO.   20406 
        
                  
                   A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT THE HIGHLAND PARK
                   NEIGHBORHOOD PLAN.
                  
                            ___________________________
                  
        
              	   WHEREAS,  the Highland Park Neighborhood Plan was
         developed to serve as general policy in guiding the orderly and 

         balanced development of the sections of Hamilton County and
         Chattanooga known as the Highland Park Neighborhood; and
              	   WHEREAS, the Highland Park neighborhood is bounded by
         McCallie Avenue to the north, Main Street to the south,
         Holtzclaw Avenue to the west, and Willow Street to the east; 
and
              	   WHEREAS, said plan provides a framework for land use,
         transportation, crime prevention, public safety, improved
         housing values and opportunities, and an improved neighborhood
         atmosphere; and
              	   WHEREAS, the Planning commission staff has made a
         study of the said neighborhood in conjunction with neighborhood 

         residents,
                                       NOW, THEREFORE,
              	   BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
         CHATTTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Highland Park Neighborhood
         Plan attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be 
and
         the same is hereby adopted.
